Lyft appeared as a plot-driving device through out Seasons 3 & 4 of Issa Rae and HBO’s Insecure. Issa’s character is looking to make a change, and quits her job to pursue creative endeavors, using Lyft to support her along the way. Iconic scenes include Issa and Molly driving a ‘Party Lyft’ and Issa meeting ‘Lyft Bae’. The partnership had a meaningful impact on driver sign ups and positive brand perceptions. The partnership was rooted in the real insight that Issa drove for Lyft while writing Insecure.
